This page lets someone who filed civil papers check how far the Sheriff's Office has got with serving them. It is built to show as little as possible.

What this page shows

Only whether papers were received, are being worked, were served, were not served, or have been returned to the court, with the relevant dates. It doesnotshow addresses, who served the papers, attempt details, fees, or any notes.

What we do with what you type

Your court, cause number and PIN are used to find your paper and are not stored by this website. The PIN is checked against a one-way cryptographic value; we do not hold your PIN and cannot tell you what it is.

A failed lookup deliberately gives the same answer whether the cause number does not exist or the PIN is wrong. That is not unhelpfulness — it stops this page being used to fish for whether a case exists.

What is not here

Sealed and otherwise restricted papers are never published to this site at all. If your paper cannot be found here, that is not a statement about your case; call the office.
