Accessibility

The Ellis County Sheriff's Office wants everyone to be able to check the status of their civil papers, including people using a screen reader, keyboard navigation, or a magnified display.

What we have done

• Every form field has a visible, associated label.
• Text meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast against its background.
• The lookup works entirely by keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• The page works without JavaScript.
• Pages reflow to a phone screen without horizontal scrolling.

Where we know we fall short

• A Spanish version of this page is not yet available.
• This service has not yet been audited by an independent accessibility tester.
